In her collages Gartz combines her drawings and photographs with photos of film stars and other heroes. In her latest collages the image of Bruce Lee is combined with vulnerable notes and imperfect drawings. 'I am looking for funny, fluent and furious combinations.'

Her installations consist of complex overlays of imagery and media. Her subjects relate to psychology, beauty, death, illusions and perception, nature versus urban life, art and mass media.
